October 29 update

A few results are trickling in and Track season has started . Upcoming events (see below )
The Frontrunner series of three 5 km races on Wed nights struck bad weather on the final two dates . Race 2 was cancelled , but here are results from our runners in Race 3 (times are slow so rain and wind must have been a factor ):
Robyn -22.56
Richie M-19.04
James R-19.41
Nick - no time recorded .

I went to watch Race 3 but got crunched by a bus .They are buying a new front wheel .

The new Bell Hill Challenge was held on Saturday 29 th . There were about 300 runners and walkers . Only Sue Johnson from CHA was there , but she managed to get 6 th place in her grade in 2 hours 58.
Perhaps Sue can mail me an account of the new course if she is reading this  : )
There was an Anna McNab in the walking section but I'm not sure if it was CHCH Avon Anna .

Track season has been going for three weeks already and the first two sessions were held on our own Burnside track .QE 2 is unavailable indefinitely and the designated replacement (Rawhiti Domain ) isn't ready yet.Timaru will be hosting a lot more sessions, as it has the only synthetic track in the Canterbury region (?)

Andrew Stark has hit high form early with some good times over the middle distances .He is actually winning open grade races at the age of 54 !

Laura smith (42.28)
Alex Manton (40.22)

Walk

22 nd October Meeting :
