A few more results coming through .
First up , Rodger Ward completed the New York Marathon .
It was exciting to follow his early splits : 43.30 at 10 kms and 1.33 at half way. But, as so often happens in marathons, the second half is what determines the final time: 3 hours 42 in this case . Nice to see NZ's Kimberley Smith have a good run there (2 hrs 25 ) .
John Ingles was also stateside for this event , but a recent form slump meant he didn't start.
The Tai Tapu Half Marathon and related 10 km and walks , was held on Sunday 6 Nov. Conditions were perfect early in the morning for what became a hot day . Richard Seigne was only 4 mins behind the Open winner with a 1.19.52.He earned first placed V45 , and hopefully got a good prize .
Sue Davis just sneaked under the 2 hour mark and won fastest VW 50 placing .Well done Sue .Training mate Sue Johnson carded a DNF , so maybe she's been over -racing after Bell Hill ?
Robyn Perkins had a good run in 1.42.39 , which netted her 1st placed VW 45 .Things look good for her long Queen Charlotte race soon.
Another 1st place went to John Hinton who contested the 10 km walk in 1.27.

Here's a message from Jane P who obviously had one of those exceptional races on Sunday.
" Just to let you know I did the Lake Hood half marathon on Sunday (6 th nov ). Tricky course as it is very stony underfoot most of the way and was very hot. I came second overall (yes out of men and women and in all age groups). Time of 1:33:42. Well pleased as it was my first half for a long while and since my injury."
